We were just wondering how big the interest would be to have a Social in Middlesbrough. Somebody started one in Guisbrough about two years back and even though it started slow ,grew steadily and had a good turn out in the end. Where thinking maybe once a month, week night in a pub in Middlesbrough. Your thoughts and ideas please. Thanks |

Hi Guys
They used to be a social in the Boro (yes weve attended) in linthorpe rd for peeps from Teeside area, at the same time they was a social in Newcastle for Tyneside folk,,,for some reason they agreed to start having a north east social at Durham so both Teeside n Tyneside could get there!  |

We dont want a full blown Social with laid on buffet and music. We are rather talking low key informal meeting in a pub and just having a chat and laugh to get a chance to meet each other and get to know people. There was one in Guisbrough two years back and that was great. So we are hoping for something like that. Fingers crossed. |

Yes you must be slipping lol Goes back a good two years but it was a couple who started it, using a family memebers bar that wasnt open on that night. Started slow but grew slowly every month. it was a good litle crowd in the end and then sadly the bar got sold and the socials stopped.There are some people here on Fab I remember from there. |

I think I attended the very first one but with the next few I always seemed to miss out with work taking me away when they where on, so I missed out on some good nights, so Ive been told.
Also remember getting some one a bit miffed off as I did'nt chat to them for very long, for some reason I must have gave the wrong impresion of myself as I thought they where dead drop gorgeous and easy to talk to, looking back remember being a touch on the shy side then,just starting to get my feet so to speak, not so much now,!!!
So if a Social is starting up in the Boro Im more than willing to come along.
