i guess u need to talk about it more advertise it in chat ,forums etc...and u need a good venue....always a goodstarting point and maybe chat to people who have organised socials im sure they would help. |

can i ask why just the barnsley folks???
the reason being is that people will make an effort to support events if they can...
can i make a suggestion....
there are people who organise socials in sheffield.... go to one of them, ask them questions, and see what you would be in effect taking on...
sometimes it is easier to just throw out the suggestion.... but it can be a lot of work involved..... |

hiya i do the sheffield social, and the location is paramount. you need a place with a venue room or willing to shut the place for the night.
needs to be central (IE) hotels train station.
be honest telling them you are swingers. what do is turn it into a charity night it always helps.
we put on food and odviously you want a dj venue may have there own. the we charge 10 pound per prson. so after you have deducted for food and DJ we send the rest to charity. you have to make sure you are covering your cost.
you could get local buisnesses if thy would donate some thing for a raffle for your chossen carity and make more money for the charity.

We now have a venue in Barnsley. It is very near a premier inn and travel lodge is not far away. If anyone is interested please let us know. The dates we have are 10th or 17th Dec. There is a big car park at the pub and will be a private function room. |
