I am a coach driver and have been asked if I would be interested in organising a trip to Cap D"Age next year. I haven't done any costings yet. I would like to get an idea of how many people would be interested.
A rough plan would be that the coach would leave the North of England picking up at motorway service stations on the way.
We have the option of a standard 53 seat with toilet or if people want to pay a bit more we have a 44 seat VIP coach which obviously costs more.
Please let me know your feelings. |

ATOL or something else is what I have to look into depending on how we organise it. I am looking into the cost of the coach first then I might see if an agent who is covered will put a package together. |

Good idea in theory but all day on a coach then the channel crossing then most of another day driving south across France to Cap.
And the same coming back home, if you only have a weeks holiday to start with the best part of three days are lost travelling !
Got to be honest we've done the drive and now we find popping on a plane at Manchester arriving in Cap 2 hours later is the best option.
But we wish you well if it works out, as Cap d is awesome roll on September |

Several questions have been raised so to try to answer a few.
ATOL protection once the logistics are worked out and we know if it has a chance of running I will ask a tour operator friend to do the bookings so they are covered.
Journey, the coach will start from the North West of England travelling either via M1 or M6 this will depend on numbers. Pickups will be at service areas. We then have the option of having 2 drivers taking it on a 18 hour journey from Dover or having an overnight stop around Riems then a nice leisurely drive down.
If we have the VIP option we can remove a table. |

Need a few more people before we think about booking anything. Would need at least 30 to make it viable.
My current plan is depart on a Monday stay overnight around Reims, so the journey is less stressful. Arrive at Cap on the Tuesday. Return journey would be the same setting off back on the Tuesday arriving Wednesday.
Any thoughts on that are welcome. |

There is nearly that here. Perhaps if some more definite plans were in place people would be forthcoming. Giving first dibs to the above thread contributors of course . I would be interested and 2 maybe 3 others. |

We host pretty large parties in the NW which are private & by invitation only. We're due to send a message out to the 300+ profiles who are on our party invite list within the next week so we'll add a reference to this proposed coach trip. As we said earlier in the thread we're certainly interested ourselves.
Hopefully there'll be more expressions of interest added to this thread then and the OP will be encouraged to suggest a date as that will be crucial to most people's decision.
We'd ourselves have a very strong preference for late August......Tuesday 29th maybe? |

We can certainly declare an interest, depending on dates/price. We would prefer to pay more for the luxury coach. It may even be feasible to book rooms at one hotel and get a decent deal at a nice one. Speaking to friends who travel there a few times a year the early May Bank holiday seems to give the best of good but not scorching weather and is just on the cusp of the high rated season, then they tell us mid Sept is a great time too. Open to inspiration do message us if things progress! |

We would be interested in this, our preference would be the VIP option.
If it comes to dates, our prefered times would be those that there are no kids holidays. With it being a combined swingers and naturist area we would feel more comfortable without the little blighters about! |

Depending on the details I would be interested. And it would be fun to do a group booking somewhere for accommodation too. I know there are quite a few people on here who do have their own apartments there |

Not sure there will be much more interest now until the OP can give some idea of possible dates/cost/type of coach/accommodation options on arrival.
Since the original post 6 weeks ago our diary is starting to fill up for next year and as time goes on our options to join the coach will become increasingly limited.
We're very keen to go to Cap around the end of August/early Sept next year and can't hang on too much longer to make a commitment as we believe the choice of accommodation when we get there will decrease as the weeks go on. |

"Sorry it has took a long time but after looking at the logistics because people are so spread out it would not be feasible" That is what I thought. No matter how luxurious the coach, it is a long journey and not all the scenery will be interesting . You can leave Luton at 6 30 am and be inside an apartment at 9 am or travel by Eurostar leaving London at 8 am and be there by 5 pm.
