I am intrigued why there are two separate "York Socials". Moreover one of the co-hosts of the "North York" version used to be the co-host of the more long established "York Social".

It's interesting that York has two socials whilst Leeds, which used to have one, now has none !?

Can anyone shed some light on this conundrum.

York has a big social and a small one, we all support each other. I don't actually see what the prob is having two good socials in one town.

Either do I. But why bother. Wouldn't be easier and more time and cost efficient just to have one ?

.. and I was with a lady friend in Club F and heard some Fab folk from Teeside, won't give names for fear of breaking forum rules, who commented about their being a big argument/ bust up re some "other male" at the York Social they attended some months back and some of the old hosts decided to set up an alternative social. Maybe, the two camps have kissed and made up, maybe the cpl who said the above are liars. Just intrigued that's all.

Well we co host the big social and went to the small social as there guests, so hopefully that tells you the couple from clubf clearly haven't a clue about what's going in york

I was the host for the big social and came off as wanted to injoy them with out working,I was asked if I would help getting a small one up and running, I came on to the small social as York needs two socials as the numbers was getting to high for the venue's,all hosts get on and always have, it's people like the op that stirs things,

Fab swinger's in York just injoy both socials

Can't see why there can't be more socials in York. Sometimes people can't attend one of them for various reasons but can attend a later one. As long as people are happy doing either or both, let's all play and enjoy what's available.

There was a fall out, but they've all kissed and made up.

Personally I think there should be a lot more socials held. Excellent way of getting to meet like minded people.

Thank you to a angelic playful lady who has privately informed me what really happened. Shame, but glad everyone appears to have missed and made up. I will ignore an inapprpriate remark made by a Shakespearean "host". I would expect better. Thankfully the truth often wins out.Look forward to next Leeds Social.

....typo - obviously meant "kissed", not "missed".

Would just like to add that the fall out was not between any of the hosts x

Thanks for that allegedly cleverly worded "clarification". Teeside contact says fall out involved a "star" new host of North York Social.

Didn't think it was cleverly worded just the truth

Ok. Well either the star hosts are hiding something or the Teesiders have been lying and/or exaggerating. Overheard all this during a visit to Club F sometime ago and heard same "fallout" account from another source two weeks back. Anyhow, if all hosts are currently back on good terms then that is good to hear.

Personally I'm wondering why you're even all that bothered. You're not on the list are you? Sounds like you're trying to CAUSE a fallout to me.

If there was a fallout it's no-ones business but theirs, and this is a pointless post. Of course if there wasn't then this is some drama. Llama running their mouth, making this a pointless post. (of course that also makes this a pointless reply!)

If you're worried about the lack of a Leeds social, why not try organising one yourself..?

Well said. I think, however, the OP was simply trying to get to the bottom of things. Would be nice for somebody to organise a Leeds Social.

Could actually say there are three York socials :-

The big social

The fab north social

The fab pub crawl social - this was held just before Xmas and again at easter time x

Thanks. Think you can message us know. My ex partner had an annoying habit of blocking tons of members without asking my permission. I had heard a rumour that a Leeds cpl called 99 bubbles , or something like that, were looking to organise a Leeds event.

We used to helped host the socials in York for a long time with our great friends _omeojuliet1 we came off hosting them first for the same reason as above when you are there most of the night ticking names of a list you struggle to get round and talk to everyone we just wanted to enjoy the night out and meet new people all the hosts do a great job at the York socials they are very hard to organise

We can vouch for socials being hard to organise

As joint hosts for York , we never knew how much work goes in behind the scenes getting everything in place for the night !! We do now and have a much better understanding !!

People just think you pick a date and people attend ! If only it was that easy !!!

Looking forward to Friday though , should be a lot of fun !
