York Christmas Fabcrawl

Hi Everyone.

I am organising a pub crawl for fabsters (a Fabcrawl?) on Friday 23rd of December in York City Centre. Hopefully a good mix of singles and couples with laughs, meeting new people, flirting, drinks and seasonal joviality. Purely a vanilla event, but hopefully a good way to meet new friends.

Please put your names down, numbers will be limited as the pubs will be packed. Likewise will aim for a balance of couples and singles.

Wear something Christmassy, eg sweater, reindeer horns, mistletoe or full-on Sexy Elf outfit - there will be a prize for the best-dressed Fabster.

If you want to attend message me and if you have a suggestion for one of the bars let me know and I'll try and incorporate the most popular into the route.

Details and invitations will be sent out two days before the pub crawl, but as an outline it will start at 7pm and we will hit about 4 or 5 bars - probably centred on the Stonegate/Shambles area.

We love this idea but Sandy has to be in work at 7am Saturday so sadly we will have to take a rain-check this time. It is something we think is s great concept and would be a good compliment to the York socials.

Hope to see you Em. Planning to start at 7pm - and I'll mail everyone a list of the bars on the Fabcrawl on the lines of: Bar A from 7pm, Bar B from 8pm, Bar C from 9pm so you could join us at 7, 8 or 9 etc. I'll also send out my mobile number so if anyone has problems on the night you can contact me.

I'll post the guestlist on Weds evening.

Remember if anyone has any preference for city centre bars to visit (probably within a minute or two's walk from the Shambles or Stonegate) send me your suggestions via a message.

Thanks, Em. The 1000s of stag and hen parties that visit York each year can't all be wrong.

A Hull Fabcrawl seems a great idea too, I imagine it's quite buzzing with it being UK City of Culture 2017. Let me know when it's held as I've often wanted to get over to Hull and explore the bars x

List will (soft)close late tomorrow. Stormy weather is forecast for Friday afternoon, but supposed to be dry-ish but windy in the evening. Will mail out a list of times/bars tomorrow with most of the bars close to the Christmas Market and Stonegate. (If possible try and meet at the first bar between 7pm and 7.50pm to make it easier for us all to meet up/say hello, but if not, the list of bars will make it easy to meet later.)

I think wherever we go it'll be crowded - last day at work and the start of Xmas hols for lots of people. If possible try to get to the first bar between 7&8 so everyone can say hello, and then we can be flexible with the choice of bars later. I'll message you all this evening with the details x
