Ok so it's not always the easiest
To attend a club as a single guy
(Or gal) and it would be nice to have some way to break the ice!!!
As well as a lot of people being new to Swing-fields I thought it would be good
To add a little twist
(This isnt Swingfields events team endorsed, just a social event within)
So-
I will provide the BBQ...
If you provide the food....
You have to bring along a Loung/deck chair
You have to bring along social alcohol
And you have to bring alcohol for drinking games
(You don't have to play the drinking games but it always provides entertainment)
Hopefully go on for a couple of hours
And get introduced to the characters and well known faces of Swingfields!!!
Just give me a wink if your keen to attend and we shall aim for about 1600

We are in the Glamping bit too, not sure what to expect in there, any ideas what the tents are like? |

Even though I don't play with the boys it's a lot more enjoyable when you have
A buddy to chat the chat and banter with!!
I didn't want to do it on the first night as there is already a singles meeting/ice breaker arranged so early on the second day looks good!
Not sure how you will notice me yet,
I'm not taking a big banner but will look at the site layout and post on here when a ideal location is found,

Ok so I will be wearing a hawain shirt
A LOUD orange hawain shirt
In the wet weather it may stand out haha
Also j will post to this thread with a precise location!!!
Don't forget to
1) invite friends
2) bring food and drinks for yourself
3) bring a lot extra for people that didn't see the post and want to join
4) I will bring a few condiments
But please help me out...

I would love to come... Im vegetarian, so as well as chairs/alcohol etc, I'll bring my little barbecue and some vegetarian food and anybody vegetarian can share and cook on it.
I have a table we can bring over from outside my tent too that could be useful.
Great idea for a social.

It was going to be designed for single guys but didn't think they would turn up if it was just sausage....
So I opened it up to all singles and newbies for a bit of food a few social drinks and a bit of drinking games
But I don't have the heart to say couples can't come!
So.... It will be fresher and singles from 15:00 and EVERYBODY AND ANYBODY from 16:30

That's a great idea and good way to break the ice, wish I was going now, being a sort of newcomer I didn't want to attend this year out of nerves... lol

Ok so this will be at 16:00 for singles and new peeps and 17:00 for all regulars
I am out of the back gates towards the tent/camping area....
Follow it to the tee pee/clamping tents (100meters) and look 90 degrees left to the big green and navy tent!
I shall try out a sign up with BBQ on!! |
