Hi all im trying to start a new business venture for my new hotel in Ripley. Im planning on hiring out the full hotel (friday night to sunday) I have a 14 bedroom hotel over 2 floors. all en suite each room has double or twin beds and a double sofa bed so can accomodate up to 4 people tv and tea/coffee making facilities in each room, private residents lounge seperate from main bar area and the whole hotel would be exclusive to the booked party. fully licensed bar (till 2.30am) and restaurant also available. the price for the whole party for the whole weekend would be £2200 which broken down based on 4 sharing a room is £40 a head for two nights in an exclusive hotel (what happens in residential areas is totally upto you and fully private)Before i make up any flyers or posters i wanted to see what sort of a response i would get and if there would be any interest in hiring, thanks for reading and please please give me some feed back xx |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
I think this is a great idea, although I think that assuming every room will have 4 people is ambitious - what you're really looking for is 14 couples willing to spend £160 a night for a dedicated swinging hotel.
I still think you'd have a chance, although a central location would give you a better chance (or in Scotland - they're seriously un catered-for).
Given that you need to run the place on a commercial footing, suggest you identify your quietest weekend, and announce that as "the date". If you get less than 10 rooms sold, cancel ("regrettably takeup insufficient") the month before.

In these times of recession I think you will be hard pushed finding 14 cpls paying £320 for a weekend away when they could attend any of the many swingers clubs and book into a hotel nearby for much less!
£160 per room per night blimey take a look on lastminute.com ya can find much better deals up and down the country!
But having said that this is just my opinion wish the OP all the best with their venture! |

thanks for the imput guys but it wud not be advertised as a swingers weekend as such it wud have to be the whole hotel hired for the cost of 2200 obviously if only say 14 couples booked in the 'organiser' wud then be able to charge say a door fee for singles or other couples wanting to attend for just the evening as you wud at most swingers clubs, as for the location im afraid i can not pick up my hotel and move it if people were to come for just the evening say then there is a premier inn only a few mins away so cud book in there for the night or drive home again, this is not the only venture we are looking into but as you say in these times of recession we have to try everything we can, we are also offering the whole hotel for stag/hen parties, scouts/brownies trips (with the peak district only being a short distance away etc etc |

the only reason i had said £40 a head based on 4 sharing was to give the 'organiser' a rough idea as to what they wud have to charge the weekend wud not happen at all if an 'organiser' did not Hire the whole hotel (hence the title of the post) x |
