I have always thought about someone doing a social in London, as there are so many peeps who would come if it was organised properly and there are loads of venues that could be used for the social and not great costs. If anyone is interested in organising something like this or am happy for me to help organise a social - say for september time. Please let me know |

Blimey September is a long way off - could have turned into a pumpkin and a load of mice by midnight - why not a tad earlier - always fun to hear peoples exploits and have a giggle - why not make it during feb as the nights are long and the days are short and we all need cheering up! |

I am saying September as it gives me the chance to see who would be up for coming to the social and for getting a decent venue at a decent cost so I don't have to charge too much for the party. Plus I want to find the perfect venue where people can have some fun and not have to pay over the odds drink prices. It will be worth the wait. Though any help would be appreciated. |

Why don't you just name a place and a time and people can then decide..its only a social so any pub that has good access to trains or tubes would be ok
most people who go to socials go to socialise so vanilla surroundings are generally acceptable
What goes on after any social is of course up to the individuals *wink* lol |

Great idea.
There used to be a group who met up in a pub in Milton Keynes some years ago.
The organisers were identified with a little teddy on their table.
Yes things use to go from there.
Would love to hear of any other group social meetings.

"Well a lot said they are up for it. So where do we go now????
Throw some venues in and see where it goes.
Ill start with Victoria
Harry"
There's alot more involved than just choosing an area of London.
We've orhganised a few socials on another site and there is a lot of effort involved. You need to find a venue, ideally one with a function room. If not a funcion room, one that isn't dead on the night of the week you choose (so you don't stand out like a sore thumb), but likewise isn't so full that a decent crowd can't mix amongst themselves. |

I'd be interested as it's always good to have a drink with like minded folk. One of the best socials i went to was just outside of nottingham in a hotel bar. All the arrangements were done by phone to keep some level of control on who turned up. |
