The next Coventry Social will be on SATURDAY 12th FEBRUARY 2011. Those who have been attending them over the past 4 years know what to expect.
ADDMISION WILL BE £2.50 per PERSON to cover all costs on the night including a buffet and disco.
As its valentine weekend it will be the 'Valentine Mask Ball' as per previous 4 years, so dust off your masks . There is no dress code for this year so posh frocks and suits are optional, so come in what ever you feel comfortable.
You know the venue and the hotel is within walking distance but the hotel has changed hands and are doing rooms for £29 at the moment, so ask for details.
There will be a bar serving drinks from 8pm – 1am and maybe beyond depending on when you lot leave.
Places will fill up quickly so get your names down by posting on the thread or mail me. Venue details will be sent out a couple of weeks before the date. |

Just to let everyone know we are the co-hosts of this social with Try as we have been for all his previous ones.
Feel free to contact us or Try for details. Please post your invite messages on here as that helps us to keep tracks of who wants to attend. |

Hi ... not sure which of the two threads are live so thought I'd post in both if thats ok (sorry if not).
I would really like to attend, would be my first social and as such would be very exciting for me. Promise to be good.

Ther are 72 on the list so far and if I add you and others twice we'd be heading towards a reserve list with 2 months to go  and DJ dell would need to buy extra 78's |

These socials have never been about making a profit by charging silly prices. All who have been attending them for the past 4 years have become friends and are treated as such, and you don't rip your friends off !!
This is why we get 60-70 regulars and around 100 attending every time. This is your socials not ours |

Have organised a social in Coventry myself and charged 4 times what you are but never made a penny!!! Maybe because we pay the DJ (who travels from London!) and the "entertainment" oh and lay on a buffet and would love 2 see anyone do that for £2.50 a head!!!! |

Having been to the above socials that try organises an can quite catagorically say (if thats how its spelt ) that for a £2.50 entry fee try does provide a very entertaining and enjoyable night with a more then generous buffet. yes the dj is not world class - try himself dj's - but he is more then adequate even if we do take the micky out of him regularly. so if people want a good night out and not to pay too much to have it then try's social is a good place to start. besides its more about the people who attend and what they put into it - the more you put in the more you get out and a great night can be had!

Errrr .... I don't think that's well said at all in fact a smacked arse and a bloody cheek admission tax is on the agenda.
There are 159 ' nice ' people on the list now which is growing by the day, and the hotel is filling up |

THE MAIN LIST HAS NOW REACHED 200 SO IS CLOSED AND A RESERVE LIST OPEN. 
All new names will be added to the reserve list and transferred to the main list as places become available  |

Can all those who are on the list start confirming VIA MAIL when they are 100% certain of attending.
You have until 1st February to confirm as there are over 20 on the reserve list wanting to come and all places are taken. Those you don't confirm by 1st February will be moved to the reserve list until they confirm |

Thanks to the 146 who attended this one, it was the biggest we have had in 4 years.
The next one will be on 2nd July. It's a schools out / beach party fancy dress social so get your kit ready for it. Admission will again be £2.50 with a buffet, bar and disco
