I couldn't see anything. Plus I'm a beginner so wouldn't know where to look?

On the left hand side there are some forum options. Look at the ones for club meets and parties and go into the Scotland forum and look there.

I don't know your area but socials appear all over the place.

Sometimes you have to think if it is worth travelling to them.

I personally don't find the Scotland scene that great, so I travel south to find the good ones.
