Northampton pub social Saturday 13th September part 2

We filled the other thread so let's carry on here as still room for more couples and single fems but single guys I cannot guarantee a place as we over subscribed in that area currently

Right then guys n gals

Who is up for a pub social in Northampton?

We have spoken with a town center pub and they are happy to section off a corner of their pub for us to hold a pub social in for Fab members.

It will be an open pub full of its regulars so we will be asking for your discretion behaviour wise, they know we are an online forum group although not mentioned swingers just said we are forum users and it is a pub known for its more liberal clientele but all the same normal saturday pub dress would be advisable please

If anyone outside of Northampton wishes to attend or even locals just not wanting to taxi home after there are hotels in the area and we can forward any details if needed but in all honesty any central Northampton hotel will be within walking distance of the pub i'd say 5 - 10 mins so maybe not in heels lol

we will forward name of pub around a week prior to social, please keep us informed if you decide you can't attend as there will be limited places this time as they can only give us a corner but if it is popular and we do more socials on other occasions we could possibly get a whole floor to ourselves another time so please let us know if you change your mind so t frees up spaces for others if required

We had an idea yesterday to help distinguish the fab attendees to each other of a discreet hand stamp so when you go off to the bar or for a smoke or even if you wish to go have a boogie as the upstairs bar has a DJ on that night you will be able to spot other fab socialites and say hi so as to make it as positive night as possible especially for thosebrave souls that are attending alone as that must be nerve wracking so I'm hoping you'll all embrace this and if you spot a hand stamp you'll say hi to a fellow fabber this way if we spill out of our corner it's not a big deal cause currently numbers say it's gonna be a very tight fit if we all try to stay in that corner

We're fine with a hand stamp,its far better than a name tag and it'll be fun to play spot the stamp if we're out of the corner

Hand stamps sound fine, as long as permanent ink isn't used

I've had a few in the past that made me wonder if I'd had a tattoo, they were that hard to scrub off lol

It's water based so should wash off easy enough

I'll be sending out pms the weekend before asking of confirmation of attendance and once I have that I can draw up the final guestlist, the venue details will be sent just prior to the event to prevent accidental mentions of it on the forum to keep undesirables out, I hope people understand

as said previously it is a central pub and all of the central hotels are just a 5-10 min walk away

single guys will know for sure by the Monday prior but the earlier you popped your name down the more positive your chances

just trying to make the ratios more even even though it's just a social purely to make for a more comfortable night for all as this was a view expressed by a few early on including by the single guys

Sorry if this seems unfair on any level but I just want the night to be a success so that people wish it to be repeated it in the future and if the couples and single gals feel it's a good un then they are likely to spread the word making the likelihood of the number of single guys invited in future to be greater

And that is why most couples will be pleased that single guys are limited! Talk about shooting yourself in the foot!

OK, I know that there are the good single guys out there and we have met some, but we have had more than out fair share of very pushy guys trying to get into Innuendo's pants and some of them were at socials.

MrsB is right to get the balance to a manageable level. At one social we went to, it was like walking into the lions den. We couldn't get near the couples we wanted to chat to without running the gauntlet of single guys ringed around them.

For those single guys who are gentlemen, sorry to be using a very large brush, but in our experience, you are in the minority.

Sorry you feel that way but as _umour pointed out there are reasons couples and single gals prefer more of a balance too many guys and it just has a meat market feel to it and I have no desire for this social to become one of those events

I shall presume that this is you expressing a desire not to be part of a "clique" then, no worries I'm certain someone else will be grateful to take your place

No, I'm saying that if the numbers are overly top heavy in the single guys favour there is potential for the atmosphere of a meat market, this can be intimidating to some or thrilling to others but in my personal opinion I feel it would be a better social if the potential for that type of atmospheric was eliminated from the get go by creating more of a balance

I'm afraid that is my final word on the matter.

there is actually room if you would like to attend, there are only 3 guys that responded after the cut off point and more than that have not confirmed so there are places left
