New to party wariness!

Being fairly new to this, how are people with parties as a single male? How are they received by non single people?

Considering a party but from a small area so pretty nervous of bumping into someone I know lol!! Do most people travel?

All parties are different. Depends on the people there. Mingle and chat and smile.
