Hiya
I've Thrown My Toys Out My Pram Because I Couldn't Meet The Mancs Or The NE Social.....
It's Been Suggested, By A Few, To Do A Mids Social, So People From The South Can Get To The Socials More easily....
Any One Fancy It?

"There has been a mids social running on here for a cple of years now and they are very succesful in coventry, alas not many members of this site turn up"
Yep there is one every couple of months in Coventry and is always posted on here and in 'events' section. Although people ask to have names added to the list, not many from this site show up on the night. These socials have been running for almost 4 years now and are very successful with over 100 attending every time. The next on is one 20th Feb. with 130 on main list and 17 on reserve list.
Looking at the replies above it seems everyone wants a social on their doorstep…well that will never happen. The social organiser has to gamble paying for room hire, DJ and possibly buffet on the night and then keep fingers crossed that people will walk through the door on the night. In reality approx 30% will not turn up.

It is true but the cardiff social, has grown from, 6 people in total, to nearly 2 hundred in recent times. Many folks including ourselves travel regulary from as far as london, and scotland so if the event is worth it people will travel. We've never had a bad night there yet. |

We understand that this do is mostly populated by peeps from another site? Is that correct??
Not all of us venture outta Fab so bit shy to turn up to such well attended events where you hardly know anyone |

Most who attend the Coventry social are members of both sites, the profile names may be different but the people are the same. sudacpl, _wo4more, swingingfifties, naughtynymphos have been to many over the years and have posted on this thread, as have many others.
All newbies at socials are shy no matter which site they are from. You can mingle or dance the night away or both. Maybe people should stick their names down for the one on 24th April in Coventry or one of the others in the area and see for them selves.
The socials are there for people to attend, all we can do is post the event on here and the rest is up to you. Midlands’s socials are already here and have been for a long time.
