Welcome to the esteemed Manchester Lounge Social forum thread. This forthcoming soirée promises an exquisite Halloween Spooktacular on the 26th October 2024, where elegant attire with a hint of allure is most fervently encouraged.
The occasion shall unfold at a captivating venue located in the very heart of the city centre, adjacent to the illustrious Canal Street.
Kindly note, this gathering is purely social in nature, despite its private and secure setting within a public bar.
Upon the events closure, many attendees may partake in the delightful array of pub/club options which Manchester has to offer.
Event: 4pm till 8pm.
Should you require accommodation, we recommend the city centre for convenience. If you or your acquaintances wish to attend, do not hesitate to reach out for further particulars.
The ticket price is £10 per individual. Guests will be treated to goody bags, engaging games, and much more within this remarkable venue.

Rooms in Stockport on the A6 are about £100. And there's the 192 nightbus every 20 minutes all night costing £2. Or an Uber would cost about £20 |

There's a travelodge right next to the bus stop. Or Holiday Inn Express next door to Stockport station. Both Premier Inns are a bit more awkward to get to so wouldn't recommend x |

Just another one of my hobbies that seems to attract a premium. To be fair though one of my mantras is not to skimp on hotels. I like my house, it's comfortable and I feel good there. I'm not staying anywhere of at least equal or better.
I once booked cheap for an MLS and regretted it. I'm fairly sure it was a sex worker hotel. And if it wasn't, it was just shit! |

There are some hotels around Salford quays and that’s a lovely area.

Hi this social is a great place to be able to meet likeminded people who also are taking small steps.
This is an event where introductions *can be made, where you have the opportunity to talk to those who may be further on the journey, or those behind you on the journey, and ultimately just have a really good laugh in a safe controlled environment; where NO sexual activity takes place.
The venue is a public bar, very Nr Canal Street, so fun yes! cheeky flirty behaviour maybe 😜but ultimately you’re in a good place with great people. All looking for laughs, fun, to overcome meet up anxiety. Wanting to meet others. So this would be perfect.

There ARE trams and buses to Oldham but it's a fair step from the city centre. If you don't mind disclosing your rough budget, we might be able to suggest things a bit closer in. Getting back to Oldham in the evening will be a ballache, especially with the changes to cross city trams for engineering work etc. |

There’s some on booking.com only about 3km from the city centre for around the £90 price bracket if these are any good?
Cheap in an Uber back to it also and less faff of trying to get back to the depths of hell, sorry I meant Oldham 🫣😂 |

Many are staying local, prices vary based upon experience. IBIS, Holiday Inn and Britannia might offer cheapish accessible accommodation.

Fallowfield is on the busiest bus route in Europe. Loads of buses at all times of the day and night. No tram to Fallowfield, nearest would be Withington, which is a fair walk. You'll be fine in Fallowfield on buses. |
