Any recommendations on hotels in Manchester City centre where I could possibly have a guest arrive late on with no issues.

I've stayed in Travelodge at Picadilly and Ancoats.

Never had any issues getting people in at all.

Get 2 key cards when you book in, but you will have to meet outside, as you need key card for the lift. Give them the spare key card, just to be holding In their hand. And after all, people are always popping out for A cigarette x

Most people are after hotels that a visitor can just walk up to a hotel room - ie keycard is only required to get inside the room

Have stayed at the Doubletree near Piccadilly and the Kimpton Oxford Road.
