Bedford Social 18th March - Part 2

Where – A Central Bedford Location, good selection of drinks & DJ from 2100 for those with their dancing shoes. (Location will be shared with those confirmed on the day).
When – Saturday 18th March @ 1930-2300.
Ratio’s – As with most things on fab, Single Males will always outnumber the other profiles, rest assured that the mix attending will be well balanced as we do have a maximum capacity at the venue.
Staying or driving - There are many hotels in the town centre, all within 5-10 min walk. Car parking is not available at the venue, but there are public car parks/on street parking within a 3 – 4 min walk.
As a bit of a thank you & a way of supporting our local club, we are also really pleased to be able to offer discounted entry to The Vanilla Alternative to any couple (must have a couple’s profile) or single female (£10 & £5 discount respectively) that attend & may want to continue their evening at the club – unfortunately this does not apply to single males as they are not allowed on a Saturday evening. Please come & speak to us on the night to collect the voucher, these are only valid on the 18th March.
We all have lives outside of this crazy place & we know that stuff can get in the way of attending, but we would really appreciate a quick message saying you can no longer make it instead of just not showing up, no shows without informing us will bar you from attending future socials. We are very aware about the cost of living & want these to be a fee free event, please don't force us to have to take deposits.
We will set up a telegram group a week before for those that may want to partake in such shenanigans

Ffs man it's almost a year now they've been striking, the staff don't want to anymore as they're losing pay each time, it's the union deciding it.
Hopefully be driving there but if not the bus it will be

Bloody typical - while we fully support workers rights to strike it’s getting incredibly frustrating now! The Mr was out for 6 days & he’ll be feeling that hit to his wages for months to come, how the hell the posties & rail staff are coping with their loss of earnings is baffling.
Oh well onwards & upwards!

we’ve just had a message from the VA management
They have decided to go on holiday to America while the social is on - if you are on the fence about hitting the after party please send us your va membership numbers if you want the discounted entry.
If you don’t feel like it on the night then it’s no bother, but if you turn up on the night you will have to pay full price.
Sign ups for this will end on the 5th March.

Yep, and Well done MR, its tough to stand up for your rights but Respect to you brother! People have to remeber that the Union IS its members, not some remote kabal in the shadows. If members did not think striking was neccesary there would be no strike.
Rail strikes are a pain in the Arse but essentially so is poor pay and under funding! Somewhere some how people have to make a stand. Respect Mr. |
