Bedford Social - any interest?

Hey fabbers,
Due to dates not falling for us this year with the majority of socials we would normally attend we’ve decided to put the feelers out to see if anyone would be interested in coming to one hosted by ourselves sometime in March/April.
Obviously there’s a bit of planning that will go into it, so let us know if it’s worth us arranging?
Hopefully it’s something that might take off & turn into a regular thing - but baby steps at this point.

When both of you & people like you, put so much effort into getting something like this, up and running, which a thankless, gargantuan task. The very least the local(ish) swinging community can do, is attend, try it, then hopefully support it

We absolutely understand the squeeze, but socials that have been open for anyone just to waltz in have not been the best experience for us personally as you loose that “we’re a group” vibe.
Hopefully this thread will grow over the next week or so and gain some traction to garner more interest. |

Yes, to this. We 've been to one social that was so loud, we had to leave, as the DJ had his music set to 12, I think he was trying to compete with Spinal Tap.
The places with upstairs sections on small function rooms are great.

This sounds great. Would be so nice to get a social going locally so thanks for even suggesting. It’s as much about meeting like minded people as anything else for me. So, fingers crossed.
I’m pretty local to Bedford and happy to help scoping out venues etc etc if needed. Just let me know as and when. Fingers crossed we can make this happen.
Oh and happy new year? Are we still saying that? What date do we stop?! Arrrgh.

Hey, Our time together is limited by jobs, kids etc...
But would love to be kept in the loop of socials around Bedfordshire.
I'm (Mr) trying to organise a small Kik chat social in Bedford in march, so understand the ball ache of arranging things as well as dealing with those who say they'll go Vs those that will actually turn up!
Real life issues effect us all, but if you know you won't go then don't pretend. Hosts have enough trouble making the arrangements for EVERYONE as it is.
Hope paths cross at some point in the future

While we can’t guarantee that people will actually show up, you can trust us to do the right thing in regards to attendees, we would love to make a success of it & hopefully run another, but we are certainly not getting ahead of ourselves.
Luckily we have some very good friends that have commented above to say they will be there. So there will be at least 5 well verified couples joining us.
We will have a strict ratio of single males to confirmed couples. |
