Yes. Although they are linked, they are two separate events with two different organisers, two different venues.
To attend Friday, you must be a confirmed attendee on the Saturday.

Just a note to say there’s a huge (closed) reserve list for this December’s event. It’s been the most popular list ever, Please can I urge you if you know you can’t come or just no longer fancy it PLEASE just fire a message to the inbox to allow others to be added and make travel plans.
I don’t think some people appreciate the absolute bugger of sorting these events take - what Is a 5 second job for you takes us HOURS and literally, hundreds of messages.
It’s not nice to take a place you have no intent to make - Please be kind and thoughtful to others that would love to come.
I am sad that I still have to make this post literally every time.
