Right, I'm going to have a go at organising a Social in Leeds, starting at the Victoria Pub (behind the Town Hall) at 7pm on the 27th of October. Thinking of a bit of a pub crawl to some of the classic old pubs of Leeds, (Whitelocks Palace etc) so we can mingle and have a bit of a laugh.
I'll be there & a bright green shirt so at least you can recognise me!!
I've taken the liberty of creating a twitter account for it too so when we move between venues, those who are joining us later can see where we are. The twitter name is @fableedssocial

When you see people in offices celebrating & quaffing "champagne", it's usually & lemonade mixed up to resemble champagne & get around the no alcohol rules most places have!

When we went to a social in newcastle everyone wore something red, we could do that or blue or black, or you could all just look for Mrs liddy with her heels on she's 6ft6 and has bright red hair so stands out a bit lol |

Preferably finishing near Ibis hotel. |

Yeah, it'll still be a pub crawl, I just thought that by starting at a quieter pub it'd give people who don't know anybody else a chance to mingle. Also, To stop accidental embarrassment, I've reserved the far end of the main bar (to the right as you go in the pub) for our use so you know all know where we will be and we can be reasonably sure that we are talking to other Fabbers!
After an hour or two when we've had a few shandies, we can make our way down through town & finish off down the bottom end of town for those who want to sample lower Briggate.
That's my plan so far, but always happy for further suggestions.  |

Not been to a Leeds social , so can we come? .... We used to organise the Wakefield ones a few years ago and appreciate how difficult it can be.

"It looks like like I'll be driving too as Leeds is full. I'll probably park at the NCP near the station and walk up unless there's something closer."
There is 24/7 parking at the Merrrion Centre or St Johns Centre, both about a 10 minute walk from the Victoria. Alternatively, there is the NCP on Boar Lane nearer the bottom end of town which is closer to where we will probably end up at the end of the evening. |

Well, this time tomorrow we will be getting into our stride & hopefully making lots of new friends!
We will be at the top end of the bar, furthest away from the window... Look out for the "Leeds Social" signs on the table.
I also have some rather fetching smiley faces we can wear so we can work out who's Fab!
