It’s a terrible shame I’ve missed the boat on this, as I possibly have some unexpected and highly rare free time this weekend and was considering going to a club or social and would loved to have heard more about this.

Thanks everyone who came to the social. Apologies for the last second changes (completely out of our control as I'm sure you can all understand) but we hope you had a fun evening. As you probably already know, the original meet point got shut last second due to a covid outbreak among staff.
Unfortunetly we had no idea how noisey or busy the next place was going to be , (but it was pride weekend) so it wasnt as "social" as we would have liked. We appreciate it was packed and the noise made it very hard for people to talk to each other or wander around due to the crowds of people who where just there for a normal night out.
But we did see a few faces we recognise, chat to some new faces and we noticed a lot of you catching up with old freinds so we hope you all got something enjoyable out of out of the evening as chaotic as it turned out to be in some respects.
Even so, we do appreciate that some of you traveled quite a way to come to this evening and/or may have been stood for a bit in the town looking a bit lost due to last second changes and not knowing where people had gone. If fab ever needed a group message facility, now is the time as last night was a perfect example why its needed.
If we have learnt anything from arranging this evening it's this. Dont try to plan a social evening whilst lockdowns are in effect because absoultely nothing will go to plan .... 
If we do this again, next time it absoultely will be a private (and quieter) venue because it will be booked in advance of posting.
Anyway, again, thank you all for coming and hopefully we will get a chance to talk to many of you again in a better setting at some point.

Glad you had a good time and sorry we didnt get to speak to everyone (it was rather hectic). Would have responded sooner but the site admin decided to give us a forum ban for "posting location details". Not sure what else we could have done in the situation but at least it all worked out in the end.
