Hampshire Social - Tasting the water

As the title suggest , I am considering holding a social in Hampshire. I am trying to assess if there is any interest and would welcome feedback 
I have a late licensed premises in mind, the use of a private room with a bar, it would be a strictly non playing event. The capacity of the said room is 150.
Although there is a dance floor and a DJ booth I'm not sure they would be of any benefit on the night.
This could be held on a Thursday, Friday or a Sunday night.
I will add that I have no experience in holding such an event, but have plenty of hospitality experience in the vanilla world  |

Not really , very little interest from women and couples so it seems a little pointless .
I am vaguely chatting to a local couple who would be interested in cohosting but we haven’t met yet to discuss further.

Most probably because most the female profiles are men and fake accounts |

Go smaller then let it build once more people come into your circle and word gets around.
Just trying to help x"
I agree - I’m still a bit anxious about going to events inside if a large number of strangers there due to Covid. |

We might be able to come. More notice the better really.
I think someone else mentioned but I wouldn’t be overly bothered about turn out or booking somewhere, just pick a place and time and see who turns up. People will naturally gravitate as things get more popular. |

Been on the scene for over 6 years and never done a social so would love the opportunity to attend as back in country for the next three weeks then back to spain x |

I haven’t totally given up on the idea but work got in the way .
I will look at the month of March , perhaps on a Saturday night if I can convince the owner .
The dynamic would be slightly different as the “room” would only be private until 11.30pm , then opened to the public.
If I was to stick to Friday night, the room would be exclusive for the night.
Although that particular room closes at around 2.30 ( depending on numbers ) , the rest of the venue shuts at 4am.
Opinions/comments/suggestions welcome.
