Remember yrs ago when "play misty for me" was on the telly.
Me and two mates were watching it.
I went into the kitchen at the same time as she came at him with a carving knife , making my mates scream.
IM in the kitchen, and im screaming too,.
And that one called "it lies beneath"
ooooooooooo
The bit where she looking thru the hole in the fence and suddenly an eyeball appears...nearly shat meself. |

I still see that face ya know....
But.......i can read the worst horrors going...
Now whats that all about eh...eh ? |

I like good horror movies, but I think recently after the success of the "saw" series too many films think gore is scary, its OK if its part of the story, but doesnt make up for little or no actual plot |

i love horror films couldnt think od a better way than to spend an evening
but on saying that some of the newer horror films that are out at the moment dont really frighten me
give me a good 70's horror like hammer house of horror now that used to frighten the hell out of me |

I like vampire films but hate the slasher type things and I can never read or watch Stephen King scares me for days so I leave all the lights on when I go to sleep.
Although I love Hotel 1 n 2, don't know why, I never slept for a week tho.

I don't find that many films generate genuine fear, partly because they're mostly very silly.
Drag Me to Hell did almost make me sick in the cinema (do NOT watch whilst eating). Not for anything particularly violent or horrific just something that's quite gross But that's by Sam Raimi not some wannabe hack like Romero.
I tend to find films about realistic things like serial killers (who aren't invulnerable to being battered with a crowbar or shot or electrocuted and never return from the dead) more distrubing/horrific. Silence of the Lambs for instance. |

I (Funky) love horror movies. I have loads of them.
I have everything from the original Hammer House of Horror box set to current typical slasher horror.
But most of all I love the Japanese films. The Eye, The Grudge, The Ring etc. All have been americanised in recent years, but the Asian Extreme versions are so much better. |

I've yet to find a film that scares me either. I watched Childs Play when I was about 8 I think. Sat giggling like an idiot all the way through it. Thought it was funny.
The nearest I've got to being scared is when I went to see "Woman in Black" at a theatre in London. And that was mostly the atmosphere, and the woman sat next to me, screaming every time there was a noise louder than a mouses fart!!!! |
