As I am going through a bit of an existential crisis right now I thought I would use you lot to cheer me up with the positive things life brings.
Forget about the lockdown for a minute. What is it you like the most about being alive? Spending time with family, work achievements, travelling or something completely different?
Thanks

The hilarious threads and comments on here, they would brighten up anyone's day
Personally appreciating the little things in the world makes me happy, like water, warmth, food, family, friends, sounds so basic, but.. Without them we would be doomed.. And self reflecting, where you started to where you are now, can be a satisfying thing |

My freedom..but also being able to see beyond surface with everything..so I see a person..don't see male or female..I don't just see how a simple leaf may look..I feel it's textures..is it smooth or hairy..is it ribbed, veined...I work with nature constantly so instead of hearing dawn chorus I hear individual song..the blackbird, wren, Robin etc..I know alarm calls and courting..that sort of thing |

Watching my boys grow up into kind sensitive men. I do not want to miss a second of their lives.
Little things like sunshine and rain, listening to the birds.
People around who love me. And the people I love.

Knowing I am needed and loved by my little ones. And then all fine standards of course. I do embrace little things in life.. birds singing, stranger smiling on the road, good deeds, exploring world around me, etc.
Hope you can fight off those feelings in no time x |

I hope your crisis is over soon for you but also that it brings with it clarity and determination to do what makes you happy K, x
So for me - I like the people in my life. A lot. All the daft conversations, the caring ones, the supportive, the work based ones. I love being alive and being able to feel all the joy people can bring me. Other people are fascinating and incredible and strange but an endless source of delight and happiness for me - my family, loved ones and friends keep me going and motivate me and inspire me to be a better one.
And I like being able to feel; whether that's the sun gently warming my skin as it gently streams through the window on a bright morning, the delight I feel in hearing the birds chirping and laughing until I am crying from bad jokes. Even the rumble in my tummy when I smell delicious baked goods that I seem to be making too often right now. I love being alive and every day brings me another reminder of how lucky I am. |

Watching my girls grow. I was poorly a couple of years ago, emergency surgery and my markers were showing I was developing sepsis, so lucky to have not been more seriously ill, so I don’t take my health for granted xx |

Waking up early to see the sun rise as the birds sing.
Seeing a old couple enjoying a park bench together.
Being extremely proud of how well my two sons are doing.
How excited my dog is to see me when I get back from work even if he only does it cause hes going to get fed haha.
A clear night sky with all those beautiful stars shining.
The list is endless, life is absolutely amazing and beautiful even with its shitty parts but I always live for the positives x |

The oppurtunities it offers if we are brave enough to take them. Or even not, just being able to sit as I am and not do anything at all. Simple fact I am alive I think, soppy as it sounds. Hope you are ok. X |
