There and to the left a bit |
Neither decade is better than the other (or any other decade for that matter) my musical tastes were forged in the 80s but they matured and expanded further in the 90s and continue to grow to this day.
Not going to pick a single track from each decade as there are just so many to choose from that could equally be named |

I’m the same. Whilst it would be great to say all modern music is rubbish, the truth is that there are some fantastic tracks from every decade.
Old ones have the advantage of transporting you back to a specific moment, but as far as tunes and lyrics go - the actual make up of a song - there are awesome ones everywhere |

Exactly - and there's also a danger of looking back at things with rose tinted glasses - I watched a few old early 1980s TOTPs a few years back and for every great track by The Jam, Madness, The Specials, Blondie, Dexys etc etc there were things like Day Trip To Bangor, Dance Yourself Dizzy, One Day At A Time, There's No-one Quite Like Grandma and worse!! |

"Depeche Mode : World In My Eyes (90')
Depeche Mode : Home (90's)
Depeche Mode : Black Celebration (80's)
Depeche Mode : Stripped (80's)"
I'm guessing your big Depeche Mode fans then? Lol good tunes |

I do agree with what your saying but you get into the 00s and on and you got less and less jukeboxes in pubs and less and less pubs as well so that's why the topic is about 80s and 90s as I'm sure you got tempted to spin a disk while you was down the boozer at least once? |

80s
Ceremony - Joy Division only 3 recordings exist of Ian Curtis singing this song
Cemetery Gates - The Smiths
A lot of good songs in the 90s but all the ones I want to list were actually 80s |
