First win for the Williams F1 team for many years and the first ever by a Venusualan driver but the whole thing sadly marred by a fire in the pits that has injured 9 people. Let`s hope all injured recover quickly with no lasting effects. |

Not sure what started the fire but it quite extensive. Burnt out one car, not the winning one though and it could have been a whole lot worse as most of the team were outside having a celebratary photo taken. Some personel from adjoining teams were among the injured as they helped with the blaze. Could have been very nasty. |

they think a "KIRS" eletrical unit sparked up and caused something flamable in the back of the pit to ignite thus causing a huge fireball.....

KERS unit = Kinetic Energy Recovery System. A unit that harnesses electricity to give extra power when demanded. Can store astonishing amounts of power and can be lethal to humans if in contact. |
