While we are allowed one daily exercise I am happy to share some details on heart rate running for those that don’t know about it. It’s how to increase endurance and burn fat and means access to a heart rate monitor. I have done a few marathons and can assure you it works and is a good way to start or improve running. If you are interested either PM me yo ur age and resting heart rate and I’ll return a plan. And true age btw not FAB age |

I don’t have any heart rate gadgets.
I’m used to training in muddy fields with big angry boys so this solitary running is relatively new to me.
I just do an hour and push myself until I can’t go any faster.
If you think you could give me any advice I’m very open to it.
Keep running everyone |

"My resting rate over the past year is 48-55. I’ve often wondered about HR based training as I much prefer the longer distances"
It’s fantastic if you stick at it and don’t get too hung up on pace when you start. I used to ha the running until I got into this |

"Oh I might take you up on this. I need to find some motivation to get out and stay active and this might give me something to do."
I can’t recommend heart based training enough so let me know if I can help |

Good luck to all that are trying this out. I expect a load of messages feeling a little frustrated at having to slow down or walk when they don’t feel tired but trust me that’s what you need to do. And because you aren’t over doing it you can also go more regular. Warm up as always (should have said at the outset so thank you for clarifying) and if you feel any injuries the stop and don’t continue ... enjoy |

I was going to make a joke about if you are being buggered no wonder your heart rate is increased but time and place lol"
Surely fab is the perfect time and place for such jokes? |

Unfortunately with the current situation, feeling yourself is the only option for most people. |

Well I’ve just finished my run... legs felt heavy as they always do when I run this time of day... but a bad run is always better than no run. I hope all that run today enjoyed but even if you didn’t it’s miles in the bag |

"Unfortunately my resting heartrate is 120-130 so I'm a bit buggered ."
I hope that's not right ?
Sounds exceptionally high for anything within remotely healthy?
Said with concern ? If it is correct what is the cause ?
Mine is 49 to 56
Anything above 58 indicates I have an issue
I was under the understanding 40 to 90 was the normal resting range
Ie should you not be on a beta blocker or other kind of medication?????
Curious concerned not critical |

It is right. I have something called inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I take beta blockers but it's a balancing act as they don't want to lower my blood pressure too much and cause fainting which could be more of a risk than the tachycardia which is mostly just annoying. Had all the tests under the sun and currently just see a cardiologist once a year . |

"I’m 49 and 11/12’s and my resting heart rate is 65
Fire away.
Just tried messaging you but blocked
Can you just quote my post and put in here please? "
Here you go and please warm up first
Try and average 140 bpm for the run
So run until your heart hits 145 bpm and then if you have to then walk until it drops to 125 and run again.
Start slow and maintain the slow run for as long as you can. Body will use fat stores if you keep your heart low rather than glucose stores if you go too fast.
When you go for a run go for a time rather than distance... you shouldn’t be gasping and you should be able to hold a conversation. It doesn’t feel like you are doing enough but you are. It needs patience. It’s the difference between aerobic and anaerobic. Any questions please ask
Good luck and stay safe

I was just reading the first bit and said to my self, well that's an aerobic workout, not an anaerobic one! Turns out I actually knew a little something! Good luck all. I have just increased my walking and then increased the pace, for now. |

"Just to bump this to see if anyone has tried the plans I sent them and to see how it went ?"
Wanting to try but haven’t been able to yet. Waiting for my new heart rate measuring device thingy to arrive. It’s taking much longer than usual as it’s not an essential item. |
