I read somewhere that holding them up all the time in a bra actually weakens the tissue/muscle and leads to them being more likely to drop later in life! Don’t know how true it is though! |

It’s not true, don’t worry! There’s no muscle to weaken, the muscle is the chest wall and the breasts sit on top of it and aren’t directly attached to it. |

I read this but I'm not convinced. When you see photos of tribal women who don't wear bras they don't have pert boobs. |

If you have pain, permanant marks or digging in. You're in the wrong size bra (if you got measured by M&S you're almost definitely in the wrong size bra)
Check out booborbust those ladies work magic. They have a website and a FB page.

In reply to the question.
I don't think they stop them heading south as such. But if you are exercising and they jig too much they hurt so I think a bra is important if you're moving. I never wear one in the house but I do when I go out.
I think toning your muscles that support them is what keeps them in place more. |

"Over a lifetime do they stop breasts heading south ?"
No, they do whatever they want... I'm fortunate that mine are still fairly perky, though they have lost their firmness since my periods stopped...
Too much information? Sorry |

No M&S for me, and I’m in the right size. They’re just very large and heavy and I’ve been wearing bras for almost 30 years now so it builds up. |

That's good because M&S are renowned for using the +4 technique which is totally outdated. Good to hear that yours is right. They don't even sell my size. |
