Just been looking at hotpics and through new public pictures and noticing there’s a lot of people posting pics of them in their uniform, mainly the NHS lanyards and uniform.
Now I know it must be a proud moment to work for the NHS and show you’re a key worker (I’m classed as one myself as I’m in the prison service) but I’d never post a picture of me in my prison uniform, firstly cos I’d be sacked and secondly, because I’d be sacked.
Just find it a little irresponsible. |

If I was still working (stay at home mum now) I would have been a key worker and no way in hell would I have put a photo of my uniform on fab, or on any social media. Isn’t allowed |

My first thought was that they’re imposters if I’m honest.
I don’t think the real people that do these jobs are not irresponsible enough to do that, just like you they take their responsibility very seriously.

It's probably contractually seen as a bringing the NHS into disrepute.

Your an unsung example of what people do in the community, take my hat off to you, your lock down means lock down... and in a place of your work with the people you have to deal with, all respect to you... as for your uniform, you look great as you are |

"I totally don’t get it at all. I thought this site was a discrete place but clearly posting yourself in your uniform with your tits or Vag out is not that discrete!! " that's their perogative to decide what their level of discretion is, not anyone else.
There have been a few people who were on our hotlist who now are on our block list since this has blown up.
Them being frontline wouldn't put us off, but do agree with the op's point, but this is our view and we have to respect what they want to do here. We all have our own reasons to be here, we will happily share ourselves with others that probably only equate to about 5% but that shouldn't be a reflection of the other 19/20ths that have their own needs to explore and fulfil.
Happy fabbing |

Not against site rules but I imagine most organisations would have the same electronic media policy, bringing your companies name into any kind of disrepute would be a dismissible offence. |

While I get what you're saying and I wouldn't do it personally, I guess it's up to people if they want to take the risk of being identified. Though with the NHS employing 1.5 million people, most of us having the same, generic lanyard and the uniforms often being generic too I think they'd have a hard time narrowing it down. |

Not when they have other public pictures showing their full face.
It’s just really irresponsible, if they want to help people, help people by not doing things that could potentially get themselves sacked. |

People have always been daft. The amount of stories I've read over the years of people being sacked for doing stupid shit in uniform or online when they have their employer listed on Facebook. I've personally never even posted my job title or any more than the field of medicine that I work in. The clinic I work in is also a fair commute from where I live so the chances of someone figuring it out is pretty damn slim. If others are reckless with what they share then that's on them. |

Always thought it unprofessional whatever the service and even in this current situation it still is..
But will say there are frequent threads about uniforms and their attraction for some which will always mean that some wearers of whatever uniform will exploit that..
Then there's the walts etc..

No you're not being a twat. Of course it's a great feeling to be applauded and portrayed as heroic based on your profession (we all like to feel appreciated), but I dont quite get it.
Let's face it, theres always firefighters or service personnel etc starting a thread about do people like uniforms, then by bizarre coincidence they drop in their profession.
Everyone is doing a fantastic job, and most certainly they are on this occasion taking the frontline, but maybe too soon to capitalize on it?
Although I'll contradict all that by saying well done, great job. Just show us the pics later! |

I’ll have to beg to differ with the majority, you can’t really tell from the uniform where they work or what they do. Most of the trusts or NHS organisations I know off don’t provide NHS lanyards, they provide different ones. The NHS ones can be Bought off internet sites. |

My friends and family know I’m on here so no one to ‘out’ me to with regards to being black mailed. Also a picture showing physical evidence of where you work and your identity is different to just writing on a thread on the forums which is seen by less than 30% of site users. Also I could write that I work anywhere there’s no proof to say where I work so nothing to bring my employer into disrepute. I’m also an astronaut. |

"Just been looking at hotpics and through new public pictures and noticing there’s a lot of people posting pics of them in their uniform, mainly the NHS lanyards and uniform.
It's total stupidity to do something like that ,in all honesty ,just totally brainless,l mean , why would you bring that kind of attention to your uniform ??? there's a time and a place for everything and fab is NOT the place for members posting photos of themselves in NHS uniforms. |

I wouldn’t post on an open forum for everyone to see what my job role is on a swingers site.

I’d have a google of your username on here.
With 5 prisons in wales 1 privatised & countless drug gangs in operation smuggling multi million pounds of drugs into the system is not be putting my family or friends at risk for advertising that I work in a prison.
Maybe if I was a receptionist or a cleaner but no, I don’t advertise my job role. |

"Completely agree with you. When this is over those pictures are still around. While this is going on codes of conduct still exist. We are living in unprecedented times but this is still fucking stupid.
"

It’s all about who you are. Not what you do. Great philosophy |

Googling my username would most likely bring up a Steven king character from misery. This profile isn’t visible to non fab users.
Again people can claim all kinds on here. There’s nothing to prove where I work just by writing that I work somewhere, unlike photographic evidence showing a uniform.
