difficult to say.
my experience is that I fucked it up.
I had it made. everything was in place and I just didn't have the guts to seal the deal.
I still regret it, not for myself. but the damage my decisions did to her.

Think I was with my ex about 7 years before we married. It lasted about 8 years after we married. Best thing that ever happened to me but by fuck I couldn't see that at the time. God only knows how miserable my life would be now if we stayed together. Lifes a funny old thing. |

I'd agree with this. It's different for everyone in terms of time.
My husband proposed after 2 years, then we were engaged another 3 years before we married. |
