Den of Iniquity

It's not much in these troubled times , but during my daily jaunt with Pooch I noticed Butterflies are abundant all of a sudden .

It did bring a modicum of joy to see .

It's not much but anything to cheer up our days

Exactly .

You never know, when all of this is over , we may start to appreciate these things more.

I hope .

Lovely thread OP! The night sky here is looking so beautiful and I can here and see a lot more birds during the day. Earlier I saw two squirrels and a robin and the sight of them made me smile. Life will carry on and nature is always there with its simple beauty.

My nan’s spare room.

Over the last couple of days I’ve seen small tortoiseshells and brimstones.

Saw my first chiffchaff of the year on Monday too.

It's so quiet too, no traffic or planes, just birds singing.

We've seen butterflies and bees in the last few days

Agreed. Being able to actually hear nature is a wonderful thing

The positive side to working from home is being able to look out at my garden throughout the day.

A few days ago I put out some suet pellets for the birds. A magpie came and buried a lot of them in the lawn. Today it came back to retrieve some.

There's also a pair of collared doves building a nest in the tree just over my back fence. There's a good chance I'll be able to see the chicks when they come - it's fairly exposed

On a similar note .

When you can go out for your daily walk or run , look up to the sky with no planes , look up the trees with birds singing and squirrels foraging,, look around at the marvel that is nature , the Butterflies, the Birds , the Insects , the Trees themselves

It seems insignificant, but to appreciate nature , especially now, is a pleasing thing .

Just my opinion

Update: the collared doves have mated. She's now turned her back on him and they're both having a sit down.

I must say, I much prefer the human version. That was very quick and business-like. He's not even offering her a cuddle
