Yeah I'm sitting here in a onesie but this thread is always fun. Hair, makeup, skincare, beauty etc. Not your thing? Pass on by.

Today I start it for this reason. Later I'm calling a vulnerable person who's shielding. She's super into my makeup, it's been a thing for ages. I'm thinking about putting on a full face to describe to her.

When I recover from my anxiety a bit more I'm going to start using my time away from people to practice the techniques that scare me

I picked up a palette about a month ago that was much, much darker than I expected it to be. Turns out I can rock super dark eyeshadow without looking like I have a black eye

Last time I called her I was in old clothes and a really garish lipstick because I knew she'd ask

I've got time on my hands so I've unearthed my makeup and I'm going to start experimenting and seeing what works for me. I have some lovely items that I've bought over time but just feel a bit daft wearing them. I'm also stepping up my skincare routine (thanks The Ordinary!) and trying to embrace my natural hair/only blowdrying it.

Lauren Luke does great make up tutorials on YouTube under the username Panacea81. I watch her a lot as she's such a sincere, down to Earth person and someone I can relate to a lot more than other Yputubers I've watched.

About 10 years ago she used to get several million views per channel back when you didn't really have YouTube stars. Things didn't work out for her and she took a few years away so she doesn't have the followers she used to, but I think she's amazing at doing eye makeup!

I've started using The ordinary too. They're a reslly affordable brand and they seem to get very good reviews. I've been using a caffeine serum under my eyes. I hope it works for me!

The look I went for was more bronze than black. It was intense, but I pulled it off.

If you like the vintage look for hair try a modern version of a wet set. 80% of the time I don't use heat on mine. Just put rag rollers in on towel dry hair (takes me about 10 mins now) they are comfy enough to sleep in. The longest part is the brush out when you take them out the next day but worth it as style last 3-4 days

I've not done it much recently, but my success with plopping my hair has surprised me. I've really accentuated my wave, to the point where it's almost a curl. Good for anyone with wavy, curly, or coiled hair.
