Make a racket for the NHS

Not sure if any of you have seen this post on your social media yet
But I’m sure it deserves a little fab appearance
I’m sure you’re already aware of this. We shall be making a racket in our garden!
******Tonight 8pm *****
Wouldn’t it be amazing if you opened the door and could hear everyone clapping and cheering streets apart ?
Rem_mber Ladies and Gents, on Thursday 26th March at 8pm can you all either stand on your doorsteps or open a window and clap and cheer as loudly as you can for all the frontline workers - NHS staff, carers, teachers, childcare providers, food and medicine delivery drivers, shop workers and anyone else on the frontline, risking their own lives to makes yours better. Let's try and get this around the country ????????
Copy and paste and keep it moving to as many as we can ???????

I wonder if it will happen as good as it has in other countries, only thing is in other countries they all show it happening in tower blocks or hotels so it always looks good, they never show it happening in estates like we have here.
Come on nation let’s get the clap together ( no pun intended) x |

I think it sounds like a great idea the coming together of a nation
All for one and one for all
Hope you’re staying safe in this epidemic |

How is this in anyway showing our appreciation to the nhs I’ve seen a thread earlier about clapping for the nhs what we need to do is abide by the rules the government are telling us and have a bit of common sense hope I don’t come across as an miserable bastard but really next it will be release blue balloons which then burst drop into the rivers and sea and cause mayhem to the inhabitants |

No you are being a miserable bastard, it's something that is harmless to anyone been as were not clapping each others hands. Well harmless as long as the animals dont mind us supporting all those that are risking their lives, whether they hear it or not it's just nice for them to know they are appreciated |

I’ll be honest my opinion yes you do sound very negative
Shame
There was no mention of going out and socialising for this event uniting in clapping meaning we all think and believe the same Is very similar to a national anthem
Hey I’m not saying you’re wrong
I think it’s a great idea |

Venturing into my front step alone , several metres from any neighbours, is hardly breaking any rules |

I think people in my street may assume Ive just gone mad, but I shall pop my head out the door. Our houses are pretty spread out though the effect may not be impressive. |

"My downstairs neighbour has asked if we dont do this as she will be an hour home from a 20 hour shift due to our local main hospital being stretched beyond its capabilities"
Bless her. Send some hearts and a well done.
It was quite a cool experience, actually being part of it. |

I get your point and agree. While it is a nice gesture if everyone follows the advice they will appreciate it a lot more.
Ps- I do know standing on your doorstep is following advice before people go into one. |

I just got back from my work, had my dinner and wondered what all the noise was as its been so quiet last few nights. I don't do social media but it was some noise. Well done to you all.
PS I'm at work cause I'm keeping the lights on for you all in the strange time we now live in. |

I've managed to not panic buy, follow the instructions, and clap!
Note...I also don't do balloon releases!
Go me, it's like I'm a hero! |

I participated and bought my neighbour flowers, she is a Nurse.
Some of my Mums at work are Nurses, I put care packs together for them containing chocolate, wine, herbal tea, bubble bath and body lotion. Cost a bomb but what is that compared to saving lives
