I'm not one of the beautiful people as you put it but I would say so yes, probably even more so now than ever as we all are making sure everything is done with safety in mind.

I wont add anyone I've not spoken to first

Personally I don't really bother with friends requests, and I think people who use the forum, the majority don't accept them unless they've met or spoken at length

I'd assume so. If they were going to accept just anyone they might as well make all their pics public.
