"I’m a paramedic been working over the weekend and I’m now tearful and scared But iv still got to put a smile on my face and get on with it"
I can relate to this. Its getting harder not to be fearful. Its when you come back to an empty house it hits home more. |

As has everyone on the planet.
Those like yourself do put yourself at greater risk. I guess it's like being a soldier during a war.
We knew this would happen. We just didn't know when.
There's not one person or one occupation that I don't applaud.
I'd miss my bloody bin man that's for sure.
Public Loo cleaners.
Office cleaners - all doing their bit to wipe down surfaces and keep us safe.
Bless each and every fucker on the planet. |

Hey take stock of yourself my friend..in the sense of monitor yourself..we all have a depository where emotional stuff goes and being in the field you re in it could well be filling up. Look after yourself and keep a check on your own health mentally..I have a paramedic friend who did 8 yrs front line and one day hit meltdown. She's been on CUT for last 2 years. Take care |

I’m getting scared the more I’m reading about it. If everyone is going to contract it at some point I’m dreading my turn.
It’s the pneumonia part of the virus I don’t like, also how it can cause fibrosis, my Nan died of fibrosis of the lungs and she never smoked a fag in her life.
I’ve smoke best part of 20 years so I’m worried about that. I’m not even puffing my vape cos I’m worried. So have the nicotine withdrawals, my kid off school, me off work, worried about money.
As a paramedic how do you self treat the symptoms of pneumonia? |

You are doing a wonderful job and we are all so very grateful to you. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for you frontline workers. You are all heroes. Stay strong and please talk to people. Sending hugs and positivity xx |

NHS IT support here. I’m scared and cried on the way to work. But we are still essential as we’re building equipment and helping to get the corona units running. We will be onsite as usual throughout. |

Being scared is a natural emotion OP and it must have taken a lot for you to admit that. There’s so much uncertainty atm and stupidity, that I have the utmost respect for all the key workers out there. I can’t show you all the gratitude we normal people have for you but if anyone needs a reassuring, virtual hug or needs to vent. Please. Message me. |

I feel for you lovely
Im getting more scared as the days go on.
I work in a hospital surrounded by about 20 people daily. Im off for a week but terrified going back next week. My hubby doesn't have a spleen, ive no proof that anyone im working with isnt going out after work.
Id welcome the army right now to reinforce isolation excluding key workrs that sadly have no choice.
Im so scared |
