Only days away from total confinement in France, already lockdown has meant you can't travel more than 1km from your home and then with personal documentation and police everywhere enforcing it.
France though is pissed of the UK governments ineffectiveness in dealing with the crisis and will seal the border in days
Macron gave Johnson the ultimatum that unless he installs more stringent measures to contain the coronavirus, then there will be an entry ban on any traveller from the UK.
Is this over reaction in France or have they nailed the theat to the nation? |

"If France closes the border the rest of the EU will follow, forget people think of all the produce in the supermarket. It'll be a wartime diet before you know it."
Most fresh produce is grown and packed here in the
UK. We are almost entirely self sufficient in this respect

We import around 48% of all the food we consume, which i've never been happy about. Perhaps this will provide the impetus to become more self sufficient. |

After the recent "damp" weather I'd guess the UK has imported a tad more
I dont think it unreasonable to suggest the UK climate is not best suited for all veg or lemons ? Tomatoes arnt really it's best either nor olives
Pepper corns ? Turmeric, cumin cinnamon cacao?
Now in a crisis I can cope
However in an adult sensible world , trading with areas best suited for growing x spreading climate and weather risks is joined up thinking
