Called comfort eating for a reason.
When a food has 50:50 ratio of fat/carbs your brain does a dopamine release and inhibits your "full" feeling to get as much of the food substance as possible. It's a combination not found in nature and our brains freak out a bit about us telling us to grab it all. Unfortunatley it all gets stored as fat.
This is one of the reasons we do stuff like add milk and sugar to tea. The milk contains fat, the sugar is carbs, so we can get a dopamine hit from the tea.
Or why roast spuds in duck fat are nicer than a steamed spud.
Or why people add cheese to foods, its a fat, we try push the ratio up to get the dopamine hit.
so with all that said, if you have a sweet tooth, you can just have sugar/carb foods that have little to no fat. |
