When you make a joke on a thread (it was very funny in your head!), then someone replies dead pan serious completely missing the humour, do you explain or.......? |

If they hsd sent a personal request asking for clarification, if I remembered, I may do.
It's typuca a little facile to make statements in a wide public arena, expecting that your own peculiar contrary position can psychically be construed by others, who don't know you, nor have any interest in you. At best, it can just be jarring, srrmingly without context, because its author only had the context in their own head. |

A wink and a nod are no use to a blind horse.

When I make a joke my cock always acts as a clapometer. If it goes down badly, well, so does my cock, particularly over to the right. The more laughter I get from my audience, the more my cock moves up and to the left. This always incentivises me to deliver the punchline well. If I forget the punchline, it’s quite uncomfortable! |

If they don't get your humour then that's a massive missing part of connecting with someone's mind... but also without knowing someone's mind, text doesn't always show the emotion that goes with spoken words! |
