I'm proud t have been a teenager in the 90's. And proud and privileged t have been part of the history of a new wave of music and clothing. From The Prodigy to Altern 8 to Stone Roses t Shed Seven. Addidas Gazelle or Samba, Berghaus, Colourful tracksuits and Smiley Mileys. Left school in 92. Just in time for for it t kick off, party, get laid and exspand your mind. I don't regret anything. What decade was you a teenager in? |

Don’t want to burst any bubbles but a lot of this was around in the 80s
I was at Uni in Manchester the end of the 80s into the 90s and it felt like being at the epicentre of something special. |

The Hacienda started playing house music in I think 86, I first went 87 underage drinking was a lot easier in them days. By about 91 I’d stopped going as then the criminal element had gotten a hold and I was not waiting in line to be fleeced.
All the sports gear was around when I was at school in 83/84 by the late 80s early 90s it was Joe Bloggs etc. The football casual image started all the designer sports gear in the early 80s.
By the 90s it was Stone Island etc |

"80s
Best decade for clothes
Best decade for music

Shame that evil cunt was in power"
I disagree with footy and dependent on when in the 80s some of the other 100% agree with the evil cunt. Shame we have mini evil cunt now.
I lost my virginity in the 80s and a lot of other firsts in the late 80s. |

you wouldnt say that if you were lucky enough to grow up in the 70's
the early 80's were okay, but nothing compares to the 70's |

70s fashion was shocking
Music wise in the 80s you had new wave, synth, new romantic and the beginnings of house.Even the pop was decent.
I reckon you could pick out countless absolute classics from the 80s.
Still they say you are always biased about the decade you grew up in

I left school in 93 and my formative cultural experiences were a lot like this...
Mind, did you leave school aged 11/12? In other words right after primary school to spend your days getting laid and expanding your mind??
As for your parents to either not notice this going on or not give a toss is highly irresponsible, IMHO.

My parents generation (born in the 30s) didn't have a clue what to do with me.
If I wasn't off my tits I was a vampire
Ah - I miss fast, hardcore music you could dance to. I can wait until we're all in care homes, swapping Meds and having orgies.

I never had to really chastise my kids - they were terrified of my stories about 90s kids lives, so were rather calm in comparison.
Also, we know every trick under the sun and invented using the Internet for vices. |
