"If I get good service, if its appropriate for someone's job I do but never as a habit more as a thanks. "exactly this. we went for a meal the weekend and the waiting staff couldnt have been nicer or more courtious, so we tipped. also if a taxi driver chats away to make the journey shorter, gets a tip. but if they have face like thunder or an attitude then they are lucky to get what i owe for the service, let alone anything extra. | |||

"I tip in restaurants, cab driver, and the hairdresser, even if they haven't done the best job, or I feel guilty. That stems from my mother, who continually tips EVERYONE, She tips any kind of service, shops, maccy d's, swimming pools, even my friends who used to come round to the house used to get a fiver, every single time. She goes way overboard at christmas with the milkman, dustbin men, postman, everyman possible. Yet continues to moan at me that she's skint! x" Tell your mum not to tip at mcdonalds, staff have to put any tips left in the charity box and they dont get them. | |||
