exactly this.

we went for a meal the weekend and the waiting staff couldnt have been nicer or more courtious, so we tipped.

also if a taxi driver chats away to make the journey shorter, gets a tip.

but if they have face like thunder or an attitude then they are lucky to get what i owe for the service, let alone anything extra.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Always depends on the service recieved but if i've no change or i'm in a cab where the driver has just bored the pants off me - I won't lose sleep if I don't.

I do have one good tip though - no matter how much of a prick he is, never lose your rag and tell your boss to go fuck himself over the phone, cos when you realise your mistake and try calling back he ain't gonna answer!

Ooops!

I tip in restaurants, cab driver, and the hairdresser, even if they haven't done the best job, or I feel guilty. That stems from my mother, who continually tips EVERYONE, She tips any kind of service, shops, maccy d's, swimming pools, even my friends who used to come round to the house used to get a fiver, every single time. She goes way overboard at christmas with the milkman, dustbin men, postman, everyman possible. Yet continues to moan at me that she's skint! x

I tip in restaurants if the service is good.. if its exceptional i tip more, i get my hair done at my aunts, so if a pack of golden virginia counts as a tip then yes lol.. taxis i usually do depends on how much it costs and if i feared for my life during the journey ( i mean more than usual on the roads lol)

Tell your mum not to tip at mcdonalds, staff have to put any tips left in the charity box and they dont get them.
