I have just read a blog from a lady in lockdown in a town called Furci near Rome. Only Supermarkets and Pharmacies open. Only Ten people allowed in a supermary at one time. Two people in smaller food stores and pharmacies if they wear masks. Only one person allowed to leave the home at a time and a 700 euro fine if out without good reason. Police roadblocks. Food deliveries for the vulnerable.
And the blogger says that there is no panic and the Government are doing a great job suspending mortgage payments etc

"If I was caught walking to a friend's house, couldn't I just tell the Police I was walking to the pharmacy ?"
You might get away with it if she lived near the pharmacy. Perhaps you need an appointment though. I really don't know. |

Similar measure might happen here depending how the situation evolves.
I'm very worried about the health of people, those that might lose family members (it could be in my family, I have old parents and other relatives) and long term health consequences of those affected.
However, at the same time I'm a little excited about the change from the normal routine. It's shit but it's interesting. |

In the middle 80s in Belfast when we had millions not working the government went round giving out tins of mince meat and stewing steak. You got a few of each if you could provide proof of not working. So am sure the government has plans to feed us all .
But I also believe in flying pigs |

Part of the planning is to cater for the brakedown of civic order and to help police contain...

"Looting on the increase in Italy.. "
I wonder if some crimes like that would be harder to get away with npw in the UK, as streets are quieter, we have tons of cctv and people can't easily blend in amongst others. |
