I have. I prepeared and got them 2 weeks ago before the panic buying. I have got 35 rolls wich will last me for 2 months. I will get a bit more as well |

I have to get some today as I'm down to the last half roll, but I'll be getting the usual four pack and no more.
I find the selfishness of those panic buying all stock they can find utterly disgusting. There are vulnerable people in the community who cannot get basic supplies. |

"Why? Just why?
In my case, that's what I do normally. I buy them in bulk when I go to Costco, so I'm sorted regardless. I didn't panic buy, I did what I normally always do. "
Same. I get mine once every couple of months but NEVER in the hell that is Costco.

Why will you get more? I don't understand why you'd need to? Don't you think it's a bit selfish when so many are struggling to find any? |

Costco now limiting customers to one pack only was there the other week and utter madness, in all the time I have shopped there never seen so many people under one roof. |

So the young and non infirm, take all the essentials, as the old and vulnerable who can only get out once a week or have to rely on others to do their shopping are left with fuck all ... played u selfish pricks ... just hope you aren’t that selfish and forgotten about yr elderly grand parents etc .. mind it could be just a faster way for u to get yr hands on any inheritance.. enjoy |

Yes the most vulnerable can't get hold of them now because they don't have that available cash to stock pile. I can't get hold of them for the last two weeks and been using paper towels etc which isn't great for the sewage system. Please think about others and not yourself. We need to work as a community not as an individual or we end up like countries like Italy with a prolonged quarentine lock down as noone took it seriously. The suppliers said they had enough toilet roll for the country. But if people stock pile, then there isn't enough. I work in the health care industry and even our medical suppliers doesn't have any to sell because people are stock piling. |

I just had a mooch on Ebay and looked at both hand sanitizer and loo roll and the prices were ridiculous when compared to the usual prices you'd normally pick them up for. I did have a quick look at Ebay's "Announcements" section and there is a comment from about the 2/3/20 basically reminding sellers not to exploit prices due to things like natural disasters/Covid-19 etc. as their listings could be taken down. I did sort of feel like looking for a, "Report this seller" function to send listings like that to their version of the Mods.... |

This country has gone mad. Its, all about self, self, self. Fuck the rest. The latest incident of a guy coming out of a shop with 2 packs of loo roll then being mugged for them shows just what this country is now. Won't be long before the looting starts.that picture of a tesco that looks like a bomb had hit it with shelves ransacked and torn down and food stuff all strewn over the floor is shocking. People need to get a grip and stop acting so stupidly bring back rationing quickly to make it fair and prevent total lunacy breaking out if it hasn't already |

My only guess is they are preparing for the 14 days self isolation if needed. If you have a large family that's a lot of toilet rolls. Whether they have anything to eat is another question |

Family of four = One shit a day each ( for bad eaters it can be less )
Four shits a day = 28 shits a week.
28 shits a week = 28 x 6 sheets ( im letting them wipe twice ) = 168 sheets a week.
There are 200 sheets per roll so ..... one roll per week should do for poo.
If there are 2 women in the family - they pee several times a day soooooooooo
6 wazzes a day = 12 wazzes a day for the women....
12 wazzes a day = 84 wazzes a week.
84 wazzes at 3 sheets = 6 sheets for two women soooooooo
84 x 6 = 504 sheets that's another 2 rolls....
So that's 3 rolls per week. 4 to be generous.
2 months = 9 weeks .....
36 rolls for 2 months for a family of 4.
I've just realised that women are the main users..........
Wash your foofs ladies. Use the towel to dry it...... |

I got 3 rolls.
The corner shop at the top of my street has plenty. Loads of pasta and stuff too.
Hysteria about supermarkets running out, so people go to the supermarket at opening time en masse.
Go to your local shop.
Support local businesses who will feel the pinch more than supermarkets.

He buys in bulk normally because it’s cheaper virus or no virus! More cost effective in some shops |

We always buy a BIG pack, I think it's about 24 rolls. We got one about a week ago and have 20 rolls left. If I see stock on the supermarket, I might pick another pack earlier than I would normally but only because stocks are unreliable. I might also pick-up a few packs to take to the food bank.

It will settle down! Only people who are vulnerable will need half this stuff and if they end up in hospital then they won’t need it at all! Next year it won’t be so bad I’m sure! |

No.
We’ve got five rolls left.
There’s two adults and two teens in our household.
I hope we don’t die from toilet roll starvation.
On the plus side we do still have oxygen and water and there’s some rocket lolly’s in the freezer so we might make it through.

Definitely not stocked up with anything because im fit, well and im not selfish. I realise there are people with chronic health conditions and/or the elderly who will be massively effected by hysterical people who are fit and well buying essential supplies.

I went shopping last Sunday and got a 24 for two reason one I’m at risk category so need it cause not going out if necessary and it was only pack left in store.
Since then used one roll so it will last me months and if found our neighbours needed some would happily share with them. |

We were just at the wholesalers and they are out of toilet roll and kitchen roll. Fortunately there's plenty of smoked salmon, so the upper classes are not panic-buying yet.
We buy in bulk anyway and we have many toilet rolls left havi g bought before Christmas. We're open to bribery if anybody wants to tempt any away from us. |

I bought 24 a few weeks back, still have around 21. Was in the supermarket last week and still had some on the shelves (however on Saturday they were empty). Not buying anymore I’d be ok for a few months but I know a girl at work struggling to find any as she reported on Facebook. |

Apparently there is actually an explanation why people are panic buying toilet rolls and nappies etc.
Whenever we get warnings of wintery weather (that's snow to you and me), a lot of people rush out and stock up on milk and bread. This is the short term panic scenario, where people fear they may be housebound for up to a week.
Apparently, when the length of duration of isolation increases, people tend to buy bulk items. And by that, I mean large, bulky items - such as multipacks of toilet tissue. Which would go on to explain why people are now panic buying multiple packs of nappies. I wonder how many of those don't even have babies.
Perhaps it's some ancient nest building instinct or something as, apparently, logic doesn't come into it.
I, for example, always buy Toilet rolls in packs of 18. These don't last quite as long as they used to before I got custody of my son and the (former) step-daughter moved in.
I went out and bought a pack on Tuesday because I'd gone round the house and counted that I only had 6 rolls left. But this was no different than normal |

I have bought 2 extra boxes of Paracetamol but nothing else. None of my supermarkets have any loo roll left so god knows what we will use. I am appalled at how selfish people are and glad to hear that people who are trying to take advantage of the situation are being pulled up for it. Bastards! |

I don't get the panic buying at all, everyone will need to go out 4-7 days later to buy bread, milk etc these people are doing it to avoid going out for weeks.. I hope supermarkets put a cap on items as panic buying for me is for the weak minded and the selfish.. Maybe supermarkets need to take the Italian approach and put a list through though a hatch, so people can't throw every item into their trolleys |

"No because I'm out of the country. Nobody in Europe seems to be going as insane as the Brits about toilet paper "
I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Here in Spain they were going a bit wild yesterday and Friday.
We are still in touch with Germany and it has gone completely crazy there. Some supermarkets stripped bare. |

how exactly do you think the supermarkets are gonna restock when they have few or no staff, deliveries of stock made with few or no drivers, stock picked to send to supermarkets with no distribution warehouse staff?
i could go on endlessly about all the things and people a supermarket needs to legally open
it’s not as simple as go and buy what you want, no staff and the whole house of cards crumbles. |

In zombie films there's always one selfish person who does something stupid because they think it'll get them out and to hell with everyone else. They usually end up getting bitten as a result.
But the last few days has shown those people actually do exist in real life. |
