Too many to mention. Used to love the Rezerection scene at the Highland show ground in Edinburgh. Enjoyed the Nightmare in Rotterdam hits too. Anything from happy hardcore to full on base drum hardcore.

The best thing I like about this thread though, is that its hands positive response.....unlike that KTF drivel the other day!

See it depends what genre you mean. As Acid House, Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Jungle, Early Drum n' Bass, Ambient, Prog House, Trance, Hard house are all often included under the Rave umbrella.

The purists will generally say that the term Rave only applies to the first 6 of these.

Some, mostly younger, will also bracket the likes of Dubstep, Electro House and sometimes even Deep House and Complextro in this bracket strange as it may seem.

"See it depends what genre you mean. As Acid House, Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Jungle, Early Drum n' Bass, Ambient, Prog House, Trance, Hard house are all often included under the Rave umbrella.

The purists will generally say that the term Rave only applies to the first 6 of these.

Some, mostly younger, will also bracket the likes of Dubstep, Electro House and sometimes even Deep House and Complextro in this bracket strange as it may seem.

the ambient d n b master has to be LTJ Bukem! Fabio had his own take on the ambient scene. Liquid funk I believe. Fantastic listening if you don't like your drum & bass to hectic.
