A munch is an informal meeting of people interested in BDSM/fetish - an opportunity to meet like-minded people, talk, find out about good clubs or fetish shops, pass on advice or generally network. For many, it's their first foray into the scene. Most munches take place in pubs or similar non-fetish venues. They're almost always "vanilla" - i.e. ordinary clothes and no play.

The term 'munch' has been adopted by the swinging community too now. It used to be a purely fetish term as outlined above by Angel but now it's pretty much a social gathering in a club or pub in a put names to faces kinda thing, regardless if it's a fetish or swinging meeting. (although hardened BDSMers will disagree lol) |

Generally...you all stand around in lederhosen...drinking shit loads of Lowenbrau, till you cant stand up any longer. There's also plenty of German Oompah music for your amusement   |

People do arrange to meet with a view to playing later back in the hotel etc, but the munch itself is usually strictly no playing. |

Go along, there's nothing to fear and you'll have a great time, but you should know that the people are a lot more open minded than a bunch of vanilla mates in a pub on a night out. |

yeah thats fine, should be good fun. i'll probably go in, sit and have a pint then hopefully someone will come and talk to me and maybe realize i'm new |

Is it organised from this site?
Try and arrange to say hi to a few people you'ce chatted to online and you'll find they'll introduce you to others etc etc. Just be relaxed and be yourself. |

Thanks, I can't find out who the organiser is sadly. It's suppose to be needle play demo tonight, not sure how they'll demo it in a pub, but they did say they'll be shutting the doors for the demo |

Its a bdsm munch then, look for the pirate flag on a table or prominently displayed a to z.
If u go on fet or ic they list all munches and u can get in touch with the organiser, then u wont need to stand around hoping people realize your their kind of perve.
Its unlikely unless u they know u are there for the munch u will be invited to watch the demo.

Only downside is have to go straight from work so will have to bring along my bag :s is either that or I go home and I'll miss it  |
