as long as you don’t mind gambling with the weather, this septic isle of ours has some fantastic holiday destinations, Devon in August for me
Where’s your favourite inland holiday or short break destination? |

I prefer long weekends in the U.K. rather than go abroad. Average 1-2 long weekends a month
Usually it’s theme parks, music weekends, Blackpool, London, Warner adult weekends. |

I love the bustle of London for a weekend.
But as a country lad I truly love places like Dartmoor and the Peak District where I can wander with the dogs and when the inevitable rain comes I can dive into a lovely country pub. |

I'll always have a fondness for Scotland (Edinburgh, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands) - especially in Autumn when the sun streams through the golden hued trees and it's slightly brisk but ever so beautiful.
I do love the Lake District, Cotswolds and Cambridge. |

"Scotland is my retreat, Edinburgh is my most favourite place on earth"
Yeah there is something about Edinburgh that keeps dragging me back. If ever you guys get the chance try the new year hogmanay celebrations. Best new year I've ever had. Also big fan of the lake district. |

The Lake District, Yorkshire and Scotland are always our usual UK destinations. Visited Norfolk Broads a couple of years ago and loved it but we did have beautiful weather the whole week. I'd love to visit Cornwall but it's a long way from us. |

Another one for weekend city breaks and we have some wonderful cities in the UK. I love architecture and history. Throw in a bit of shopping and I’m happy. |

A bit of crabbing and jumping off the harbour wall into the sea to cool off on those rare hot summer days.
Followed by a shower, change into shorts and then it's a Pint of stowfords, fish n chips and watching dolphins from the harbour wall with my dogs (if I'm lucky) and I'm a happy boy.

The UK has some awesome places, some of my faves from when the kids were young
Tipi camping and surf lessons in Croyd
Cycling in the NE to Holy Island and several castles
Walking Hadrian’s wall
Coast to coast cycle route
Wales - Shell island, Gower peninsula , Tenby
Loch Lomand
Still haven’t explored the lakes, Ireland or Scotland properly

Brecon beacons in Wales
New forest brilliant camping
Isle if Wight like stepping back in time.
Cornwall / Devon amazing coast line
London so much to do
Northern Ireland amazing place with some of the friendliest people.
Scotland brilliant scenery and I think Edinburgh got voted top place to visit last year.
Yes the weather isn't always great but global warming will take care of that

I’ve not found anywhere in the UK I don’t like. We live on a very diverse island and I love it.
Probably heading back to childhood memories this summer, taking the lad to Dorset and explore from there.... new forest, coastal walks, Bealieu, chesil beach, etc |

There and to the left a bit |
As SC says so many places that are wonderful on this diverse island of ours - cities like Bath and York, the delights of Devon, Cornwall and Yorkshire....and that's without mentioning the jewel in the crown of London and the veritable treasure trove of variety it offers..
....however think I'd choose the Lake District..mainly because shockingly it's one area I have never visited and always wanted to |

I love this country for the variety and beauty it has to offer and would reiterate many of the places mentioned. I’d like to add the Peak District as another outstandingly beautiful part of the country with lovely little towns and breathtaking views to enjoy on those walks |

"Mid and North Wales are wonderful. South/West Wales are too, but that’s home turf.
Love the Lakes too. Need to explore Scotland again. "
Wales is definitely on my to do list |
