We would go clay pigeon shooting all over the place. There was this one place that was on an old airfield and they had a little farm bit too, I'd sit in with the goats for hours. Nobody would bother me, but they'd know where I was. I was about 8 or 9.
I fucking loved those goats.

"Building little dams in a stream near my grandparents.
Recording the charts off the radio onto a cassette recorder. "
I used to build dams... but didn’t do the charts... think it was more a girl thing |

Catching bullheads in the river
Wandering around the mountains
Playing games with others that encompassed up to 20 streets
Heading out in the morning and getting back for tea |

"I used to live in a pine forest that was situated on the med. The smells of pine especially after it rains takes me to a happy place.
Also the sound of the sea. "
It’s amazing how smells and sounds takes us back to a happier time |

My safe place was always with animals when I was a kid. To be fair it hasn't really changed that much!.

"Climbing as high as you could on the rugby posts before falling off
Used to love climbing as a kid... god there was no worry about my safety climbing trees... "
Bones healed and cuts were stitched. I miss those days so much |

"There is an interview between Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung where they explored first memories, they found out that the first memories often defined the type of person they were."
I’ve done cognitive recall a few times for people and it’s really powerful... normally ends up in tears ... sometimes joy sometimes not |

Now that is a wired one for reaction.
I used to train this, as the trainees went through the process I would make sure there were assistants at every exit, keeping the reaction in the room.
Remember one time a male trainee shot through the fire door setting the alarm off for the whole building, cost me a call out from the fire engine that turned up. |

"When making crumpets earlier I remember I used to toast them in front of an open fire as a kid and they tasted amazing... anything take you back and make you smile "
I remember making toast with a fork hooked to the wire of our gas fire
My mum was there so it must have been safe
There was a lot of kids in my street it was a close with a green in the middle- we used to chuck grass and hard berries at each other - and the boys used to pin us down and stuff it down our tops and pants
Happy times - I'm so glad I was about 30 before I had the internet at home.

Bunking into cinemas, one of us would climb up the drainpipe in through the toilet window, down the fire escape staircase open the door and let the other in.
“ then came bloody anti climb paint “. |

"Pressing play and record together on a cassette player (look it up kids!) to record the top 40 "
And then quickly try to rewind the tape and start recording again to cut out the DJ talking in between songs,
“ bloody nightmare “. |

I would love to be able to listen to those tapes again to see what songs I recorded |

Never had a care in the world back then. |

Cards dominoes and board games. Reminds me of caravan trips (no tv) as a family. We could all count before we could spell our name thanks to card and doms. Still a big family tradition that we do regularly on a night in |
