Personally, re flying, I'd sooner not pass through a crowded international airport (those places are disease hot spots at the best of times).

And certainly not want to sit in recircled air with a few hundred other people for a couple of hours.

Quite right Lorna, unless you have issues which might be exacerbated by the virus and may be advised by your doctor not to travel. This is where we are at the moment, with hubby

I’m not sure but I am quite surprised by the dismissive approach of some. They aren’t looking at the bigger picture in my opinion.

It also bugs me when people label you as panicking over it. Being cautious and sensible and having concern is not panicking.

It spreads every day. If we don’t change what we’re doing in the way we are doing it then it will continue to get worse with more people dying. It isn’t as simple as being flu - which to be honest, I’m sick of hearing. Even at this stage of pretty much closing a country, isolating people etc some still say it’s all blown out of proportion. I don’t understand that mindset. What will it take for people to acknowledge the real danger? And when we finally get this under control I’m sure people will say there was an overreaction.

More testing, isolating, quarantine, cancelling of events and gatherings is what I would like to see now. Preventative measures. Don’t wait until it gets a full on grip to do it. That certainly won’t help the economy.

The rise of cases is expected, there will be a big rise in cases over the next week or two then it will taper off.

It's perfectly reasonable to be concerned, what isn't reasonable is the amount of false 'facts' being thrown around, they are causing the panic.

I don’t feel it will taper off that soon because over the Easter hols schools are out for two weeks and it’s a popular time for holidays no think it may spike after that.

I do agree misinformation causes panic.
