When life hits the proverbial fan, how do you keep your head high and carry on?

"When life hits the proverbial fan, how do you keep your head high and carry on?"

Just keep telling myself I have been in worse situations and convince myself that it will all get better xxx

In a town full of colours

Meditate at the beach and refocus my life back into order in my head, visualise a achievable target x

visiting the beach

I tend to blithely blunder from one disaster to another, without really taking much notice of them.

I'm of the "it'll be fine" mentality, and quite often it is fine (eventually)!

Gloucestershire

Go and sit on the edge of the common, stare at the sky and let myself get battered by the weather to remind me how tiny and insignificant I am in the universe (and this how my problems aren’t really that big of a deal after all).

By knowing that things would be shittier if I didnt. I just try to take my mind off of things and power through.

I would focus on the aspects that haven't hit the fan, it can't all be bad I would hope. Then I find strength in managing the good and I build from there

Depends

Sometimes bury my head and ignore

Force myself up and out

Realise others have it worse

Think how people I know would react if I just gave up

I'll go one of 2 ways. I'll either call a friend and talk it out or, I'll shut myself off from everything and everyone x

Pamper myself. (If I look absolutely fantastic, it’s not a bad shout that inwardly I’m feeling rotten! )

See a few friends, talk about what’s wrong, and get a few different opinions about what to do. Different viewpoints are very helpful and can completely reframe situations.

Get some exercise. Mainly running, it really clears my mind.

Make sure my surroundings are warm and clean, tidy - so I don’t wake up feeling irritated by the untidiness.

Eat something I like, but be mindful of how much.

Let it all go, don't hold onto any of it.

I got my brows done yesterday. The sign (Benefit) said "looking good is the best revenge". I'm not sure that's constructive...
