i've just tripped over my laptop charger 
now it wont work unless i hold it in place. so have i damaged the end of the charger or the laptop bit...if u get wot i mean |

Buy a universal one, dedicated ones are an arm and a leg..

sounds like you may have partially pulled the input fitting from the board this will mean the whole machine will need stripping to re-solder the said fitting to the board £30-£50 |
