Though he’s well known for self publicity; cant actually recall many, if any, TV ad campaigns over the years for different Virgin branded companies that he has personally appeared in – until recently;
the recent VM B-Band ad with Usain Bolt and the current Tivo ad with David Tennant ...
Wonder if it is because things are that bad at VM that he is having to get out in front of cam himself?

there was that one with all the air hostesses walking through the airport, and then the new ones, but otherwise, i dont recall much at all"
the airline have had many campaigns over the past 28 yrs since it launched, as have the rail company - and recently virgin money ... yet never seen him in any of them |

Branson is not active in all his businesses. He lets companies use the Virgin brand and pay him for the privilige. The ones he advertises are the ones he is most active in.  |

Tivo is awesome on VM but that's more down to Tivo than Virgin as it's the same product (with a few bits taken out) as USA Tivo.
The ads are OK, I don't think they work hard enough. Although I saw some figures recently on Tivo take up and they were quite successful in converting normal VM customers to Tivo. |
