Recently got catfished which I mentioned in a previos thread.
Does anyone else get the impression the majority of photos on here are edited and photoshopped? |

I do play around with my pics (or gets someone else to) but only with colour and lighting. Doesn't change what I look like, just makes me feel a bit better about the pics I post |

There’s probably a lucrative profit to be made editing peoples pictures for them I guess. Some are done very professionally |

I edit all my photos, I find I have to edit out my ripped torso, enormous penis and fantastically handsome features, because I want you to appreciate my inner self. I identify as a divorced, slightly out of shape, dad dancing, awkward nerd, and am tired of being objectified, so adjust my photos accordingly  |

Hate filters. Pointless if you’re planning on meeting people. If not then doesn’t really matter. B&W is fine. Other than that I don’t like them at all. It’s also so obvious. |

My photos are taken with good lighting generally and I boost the saturation.. And sometimes use one of my phone's filters (as per my current profile)
I've started to reverse image search photos now.. I've become quite untrusting since joining fab |

Ours have black an white and blurred backgrounds. And lightened up but we never mess with filters on faces or bodies. I am as chubby as you see in my pics. |

I use B&W, colour splash is sometimes fun to play with, I sometimes use vignette to draw the eye where I want it to focus rather than on the delightful early 80s light fittings in the flat or whatever.
I can't see the point of photoshopping pics to change my shape because there's no option to do that in real life. If I'm going to disappoint someone I meet I prefer to do it with my abrasive personality and lack of sexual prowess, not by looking nothing like my photos. |

The thing is though, my body changes all the time. I go through phases of bulking, cutting, maintaining weight, training for a fight. Sometimes I'll just have a lazy few months and do nothing then hate myself.
I had an operation on my shoulder 3 months ago and havent lifted a weight or punched a pad since. I wont look much like my pictures just now but I know I'll get it back soon enough. |

All of ours are edited in some shape or form, whether it's lighting, contrast, shadows and highlights, saturation or cropping...things that improve the picture and composition but nothing that changes us physically |

No. Photos generally seem natural that I look at. They'd probably erase clutter and dirt, if they were edited.
Deception doesn't need photo editing but we all need to use caution and to satisfy our selves, prior to much engagement.
AI can now create realistic photos and movies that appear to show you, dirt and all, in poses etc that you have never been in. |

My pics are just quick shots with a colour change occasionally and cropping.
But they are obviously all taken at flattering angles. I don't stand with my hand on my hip usually and I'm not short enough for everyone to be towering above me  |

I Just mean altering the body shape etc. I mean crop other people out and cover your face by all means but making yourself a lot different to what you actually are is kind of a waste of time when it comes to the crunch |

Nothing wrong with a colour filter or bit of skin smoothing and tweaking the light, but nothing that would make people not recognise me.
I often get told I look better in person so no harm done at all
However, I have met so many on here that turn up 2-4 stone heavier than they look on their pictures which is quite unfair.
Just be confident in your size. |

Tap on a photo, a menu comes up. Pick "search with Google lens" then you can also search with Google photos. It will tell you if it's been used elsewhere on the web. |

Ours are 100% genuine, yep, Bella looks that damn good! Some are from her glamour model days, bit of Photoshop. Most, I took and just messed with the exposure in post.

These ‘Beauty Filter’ Apps are a real bug bearer for me. People are lying about the way they look. They may as well wear a rubber mask.
It’s really disappointing when you can’t see what a person truly looks like.
It gets even worse when you meet them and they don’t look anything like the photos they have ‘maxed out’ on the beauty filter for all their photos........
I’ve heard people have politely declined and walked away after meeting someone who didn’t look like their photos. I will also walk away and do the same do the same if it’s really bad....... |

I haven’t necessarily thought photo’s were photoshopped, but i have questioned whether the pictures are theirs in the first place. You know the ones that are like model shoots that have obviously been taken off a google picture search |

Those filters are fine, they are fairly obvious and it is at least you!
That said, I do always prefer a "normal" picture. It just looks better to me.
